Mosman Junior Hockey acknowledges that there has been a lack of options for boys in Term 1 of each year and are working hard to provide an opportunity for them to play.
To address this we will run a weekly competition on Sundays at from 5.30-8pm.
There is also an option for U11 Development Sessions on Friday, subject to demand.
Who Is This For?
All boys age 11-15 who would like to play and improve their skills. Any player who was U15 in 2018 is eligible to play in the competition.
The youngest players will have to be competent hockey players and be prepared to play with the older kids.
The oldest players need to accept the responsibility and leadership that comes with mentoring their young teammates.

Registration
We are determined to make this a fair and equitable competition.
Players will register with the club and teams will be selected to have a fair distribution of age and ability.
We will coordinate managers and coaches to assist the teams.
Important notes about registration:
- If you have doubts or concerns about the appropriate grade or competition for your child give Mark Hewitt-Park a call on 0438295154
- Mosman club grades its teams based primarily on experience and ability. Best endeavours are given to place friends together in teams, but not all requests can be fulfilled.
- Coaching is provided by the club volunteers at games, but we do not do regular training.
- Development opportunities exist through MJHC, Sydney Indoor and NSBHA programs. Noitfications will be given through email and Facebook about these events.
Equipment & Uniforms:
Players need an indoor hockey stick, shin pads, mouthguard and are strongly recommended to have their own indoor glove and a face mask for penalty corners.
If you do not have it, this equipment is conveniently available at Olympus Sports Neutral Bay (in the Grove Arcade near the Woolworths Carpark).
We will organise uniforms in a similar fashion to the Mixed Friday Comp in T4.
Umpiring:
Opportunities to learn to umpire are available for players 12 years and above.
Please let us know if your child would like to learn this valuable skill.
